President
Brandi Arredondo
Brandi, and her husband Mark, have three boys at home: Mark Jr. (Austin HS), Jacob (SMS), and Jack (WSE).
By day, Brandi works as a Senior VP in banking.
Brandi got her start in the PTO at Walker Station, chairing the annual Stallion Stampede along with her time as President and Fundraising Chair on the Executive Board.
The Arredondos live and work in Sugar Land and love the diversity and community. Mark is also involved in Dad's Club! They would love for you to reach out to either of them about getting more involved.
Vice President
Raeann Dougherty
Raeann and her husband Jake have lived in New Territory for seven years. They have two kiddos, Isla (7th) and Dean (6th). Raeann works as a substitute teacher/parapro at WSE.
She loves hanging out with the kiddos and staff, supporting however she can, including making sure Jake is involved in our Dads Club.
Raeann is looking forward to the new school year and the many adventures and opportunities that await. She strongly encourages all our SMS families to get involved and engage with our PTO. There are so many ways to get involved or just learn something new. You don’t know what you don’t know, so reach out and help out.
Treasurer
Shamim Ratnani
Shamim is a dedicated community development professional who is passionate about empowering children and communities. She and her husband Farook are proud parents of two wonderful children, Moez Ratnani 14 (Clements HS) and Irssa Ratnani 12 (Sartartia MS).
Shamim has served at Cornerstone Elementary School as a Treasurer for the 2024-2025 school year. Along with this, she has more than a decade of experience in humanitarian initiatives, community upliftment and helping early childhood development. She is excited to bring her years of experience working with children and families to the SMS PTO.
Shamim hopes to make a meaningful contribution to enriching educational experience for students and fostering a stronger community this year with her dedication, skills, experience, and knowledge.
